Join us for Stuy Town’s
Art in the Park Summer Series…

Next up, a photography workshop geared towards youths to explore new perspectives and creative possibilities in and around Stuy Town.

Presented by Beam Living and curated by Toni Short.

About the Event

International photographer Vivien Allender, known for her global t(w)een portrait project, brings a mix of creative and practical tips to this interactive workshop offering tweens/teens living in Stuy Town insight into the possibilities of photographic image making.

The group will move around the property starting off at the Fountain at 5pm.  Working with a theme that interests each participant they will explore and practice different ways to see their surrounding environment while receiving guidance and feedback.

Open to ages 11 and above.  Parental participation is welcomed.

About the Artists

Born in Melbourne Australia, Vivien moved to Tokyo at the age of 17 and that had an indelible influence on the evolution of her aesthetics, and today her photographic style--fresh, clean, wholesome and timeless--reflects that unique experience. She currently lives and works in New York but loves traveling for work and pleasure and has  shot both commercial and personal work around the world.
